 Rita Anderson serves as the Building Official for Memphis and Shelby County, where she oversees the enforcement of building codes and regulations to ensure the safety and integrity of construction projects within the region. With a strong commitment to public safety and a keen eye for detail, Rita brings 25 years of experience in construction code compliance to her role. Rita's extensive background in the industry, coupled with her leadership skills, has made her a trusted figure in the community. She is dedicated to promoting safe, sustainable development and is known for her collaborative approach with builders, developers, and government officials. In her free time, Rita enjoys engaging with the community and the many recreational activities Memphis provides, attending plays, gardening, and enjoying time with her 3 grandkids.
